Music

Are you ready to make a joyful noise?

Worship at Hosanna generally follows a liturgical form. Liturgy literally means “the work of the people,” and here, you will find many people involved in planning and providing creative, dynamic worship. Our main resource is the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book, though we often enjoy hymns and liturgy from other sources as well.

Worship at Hosanna is participatory, involving all. Through both spoken and sung liturgy, we are all given the chance to participate.

The Lutheran Church has been known as the “singing church,” and at Hosanna, music is most often, though not exclusively, used to support us in worship. With the support of our Choir, staff, and guest musicians, we all join together to “make a joyful noise.” Bring your singing voice and join us on Sunday!

New singers and musicians are always welcome. Contact Hosanna’s Music Director if you’d like to share your musical gifts. Choir practices are at 7:00 pm every Thursday and occur from September to May.

Handbell practices are at 5:15 on Thursday and occur from September to May
